Human Participant Research

All research involving living human participants, human biological materials, as well as human embryos, fetuses, fetal tissue, reproductive materials and stem cells, secondary use of personal information, or secondary use of human biological material require approval from the Research Ethics Board and is guided by the Senate Policy for Research Involving Human Participants. Prior to the submission of a proposal on the ROMEO Research Portal, students are required to complete the TCPS 2: CORE-2022 (Course on Research Ethics) offered by the Panel on Research Ethics.
