Mandatory Training

All new GTAs must complete select modules in the Mandatory Employee Training course on Blackboard through their staff myTrent account. To learn how to enroll in the Mandatory Employee Training course please refer to the instructions located here. The required GTA training includes:

• Ministry of Labour: Health and Safety Supervisor Awareness Training (all graduate Teaching Assistants are considered by Trent University to be supervisors)

• Campus Violence and Harassment Training

• WHMIS (if applicable to your teaching setting)

• AODA Customer Service Standard

• ODA Accessibility Awareness – Working in Education and Training the Educators

• AODA Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation Training

• Privacy Protection for Faculty, Staff and Teaching Assistants

• Health and Safety / COVID training
