Want to get involved with the TGSA? Interested in advocating for the graduate student body?

Here is your chance!!

All graduate students are welcomed to nominate either themselves or another member. Nominations should include a 200-word statement and must be sent to President or VP Student Affairs during the nomination period (January 25th to February 8th, 2021).

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on February 9th, 2021, where executives’ and commissioners’ report, financial report and changes in TGSA Bylaws & Policies will be presented, discussed and voted on. During our AGM, the nominees will be given a chance to give speeches. All graduate students are encouraged to attend to hear what the TGSA has been working on and give valuable input. Voting period for nominees will be begin from February 10th to 17th, 2021 via Qualtrics.

2021-2022 Open Positions:

Vice President, Communications 
The VP Communications facilitates communication between the TGSA, the graduate student body and other committees.

Environmental Commissioner
The Environmental Commissioner is responsible for supporting the operationalization of the TGSA’s Bylaws & Policies and events surrounding environmental advocacy and sustainability.

International Student Representative Commissioner
The International Student Representative Commissioner represents the interest of International Students to The Board. This position is only open to International Graduate Students.

Trent Durham Representative
The Trent Durham Representative represents the interest of graduate students studying at Trent’s Durham campus to The Board. This position is only open to graduate students studying at Trent’s Durham campus.

Science Representative
The Science Representative represents the interest of Science graduate students to The Board. This position is only open to graduate students who are enrolled in the following graduate programs (M.Sc. Applied Modelling and Quantitative Methods; M.Sc. Bioenvironmental Monitoring and Assessment; M.Sc./Ph.D. Environmental and Life Sciences; M.Sc./Ph.D. Materials Science; M.Sc. Psychology; M.Sc.N Nursing; M.ICA. Instrumental Chemical Analysis; M.Sc. Big Data Analytics; M.Sc. Financial Analytics; M.Sc.F.S Forensic Science).

Arts Representative
The Arts Representative represents the interest of Arts graduate students to The Board. This position is only open to graduate students who are enrolled in the following graduate programs (M.A. Applied Modelling and Quantitative Methods; M.A. Anthropology; M.A. Canadian Studies and Indigenous Studies; M.A./Ph.D. Cultural Studies; M.A. English (Public Texts); M.A. History; M.A. Sustainability Studies; M.Ed. Educational Studies; M.MGT. Management; Ph.D. Canadian Studies; Ph.D. Indigenous Studies).

Various Program Representatives
Program Representatives serve as a liaison between the TGSA Executive and students in their Graduate Programs.
