Colleges

Trent University operates using a college system. This means that each student is assigned to a college, and this college is meant to act as their lifeline to Trent where they can meet new friends at social events, meet an academic advisor, attend academic skills workshops, and feel like they belong to a smaller family amongst the Trent community.

Graduate students belong to Catherine Parr Traill College*, one of the original colleges of Trent University and Trent’s only downtown college. Students seeking services, such as academic advising or skills, will do so through Traill College where there are staff specifically trained to help graduate students. Graduate students are encouraged to take advantage of the vast programming offered at Traill College to enhance their academic career. Traill College also offers graduate students 24/7 access to Scott House which features the graduate reading room, college library, and Senior Common Room. To obtain access to Scott House, please contact Samantha Perritt.

For more information about Traill College, please contact Michael Eamon.

*Note: Students that completed their undergraduate degree at Trent and go on to pursue graduate school at Trent will not be affiliated with Traill College. Rather, you will remain affiliated to the college you were assigned to in your undergraduate degree. You can change your affiliation to Traill College on the myTrent portal under: Support > College Life > Change Campus Home Location or contact Michael Eamon.
