Bio-Safety & Radiation Safety
All research involving potentially pathogenic organisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, protozoa, biotoxins etc.) and potentially biohazardous material (blood, mammalian cell lines) are required to submit a proposal to the ROMEO Research Portal to be reviewed by the Science Safety Committee. All students conducting research are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Science Safety Program and attend the Biosafety Lecture by Chris Williams, the Biosafety Office. To attend the Biosafety Lecture, learn more about laboratory protocols and safety procedures, or if you have questions about the application package or process on the ROMEO Research Portal please contact Chris Williams and Anna Kisiala.
