2014-2015 Coverage

2014–2015 Coverage

Effective September 2014, our supplemental health and dental insurance broker was switched from Morneau Shepell to Student VIP. This change was approved by referendum in April 2014.

For detailed price schedule, coverage information, reimbursement forms and deadlines, visit www.studentvip.ca/tgsa

Students are encouraged to visit Student VIP to learn more about the Benefits Plan options and confirm opt-out deadlines as soon as they arrive on campus; it is each student’s responsibility to meet all deadlines associated with the Benefits Plan.

For reasons of personal information and privacy protection, the GSA cannot discuss information pertaining to an individual’s status on the plan(s). Please direct all questions or concerns regarding your health coverage (including how to file claims) to info@studentvip.ca.

Any unclaimed health benefits incurred between September 1, 2013 to August 31, 2014 should be sent to the old health provider, Green Shield. See here for further information. Claims more the one year old will not be filled.

If you are an International Graduate Student, please see the International Student tab for a breakdown of your medical coverage.

Students who have not opted out during the opt-out period are automatically covered under the TGSA Student Benefits Plan for the full academic year.

Alternate health coverage is also available to Trent Alumni through C&C Insurance. Contact for more information on rates and detailed coverage.
